Team Update

Well we had quite a day yesterday...Up at 3 am and at the airport at five thirty. Almost to Tegucigalpa and they said weather was poor so diverted to San Pedro Sula in north Honduras. We waited 2 hrs and they said weather improved so we landed 3 hrs late but better than going back to Atlanta. There is more to that story later.

Got to the mission about 6 pm starving...we missed lunch. it was all ready and we devoured stew and rice....yep teens ate stew and rice! We all went to bed early and had home made cinnamon rolls waiting on us...suffering for Jesus here. It very nice here with a bit of rain and cool breeze. We went to a school and the team did a play and invited the kids to Bible school beginning tomorrow. We gave the school needed supplies like pencil sharpeners, crayons, paper, and pencils. They were so thankful. They have NOTHING!!

This afternoon the team plans to prayer walk and invite kids to Bible school and work on some construction. This team is great!! You would be so proud. Keep us in prayers!

  1. Thank you for the updates Pastor. It is great to be able to keep up with you and the mission team. Sounds like things are going great! We will pray for you continued safety, for the work, and that God will forgive us for being jealous about he cinnamon rolls. : }

  2. Thanks for the update Pastor Pat. Please tell Steve Z. that I did not call, but his mother had an emergency and was re-admitted to the hospital ICU. She had bleeding with emesis, they gave her 1-2 units of blood. They did an endoscopy and determined it was not a new bleed, put an NG tube in, but is producing little now. Sorry Pastor Pat but he will understand all that. In other words , she became critical all of a sudden, but is now stable with ICU care. His sister is monitoring and feels she is stable now with some improvement. I am praying for God to use all of you mightily, and for all of you to mightily trust him. In Christ, Cher Z.
