Hi everyone!
We spent most of last night separating all the meds you donated and put them into baggies with labels. That took several hrs so there is quite a bit of meds to give at the clinic. We have meds for diarrhea, sinusitis, aches and pains, antibiotics, blood pressure, stitches if need be, and general health needs. Kelly Perkins and Steve Zurlinden are doing a great job prepping the meds to set up the clinic. Kelly is a nurse and Steve is a Physicians Asst.
I just left the clinic and they are covered up with a loooong waiting line. We are treating as fast and humanely as possible but it is slow going...and the sun came out today so it is a bit warm. It is sad to see the kids with parasites and diarrhea. One adult lady had pneumonia in her left lung. We are inviting every one to come to the mission Friday evening for the Jesus video...and we will take a family picture if they will come to the video. Then we will give them the picture if they come back Saturday night. So please be praying.
Bible Clubs begin today after lunch!! That is from 3 to 5 pm your time at home. Our team is doing great!! I love hanging out with them and they are serious about being here but also know how to have fun. 5 of the girls slept in two bunks pushed together because they saw...or thought they saw a mouse or small rat scurry across the room.
The kids have bonded well and have bonded well with our teen translators. They all sit around one big table laughing and carrying on. I have been grading their beds and rewarding the neatest bunk at our breakfast meeting. Get this...Josh Hensley won Tuesday and Jon Woods won this morning!! Their beds were neat and tight...the girls....well not soooo much. We will see. Thats all for now. WE MISS YOU ALL. Pat
JAY: Hey Pat, I think the kids are goofing on you. I believe that Josh took credit for Jon's bed. Or maybe it was Brian's. :) Tell the girls it was the welcome mouse that brings blessings and snacks. Don't pick up any stray chocolate chips off the floor(that's Meghan) He says that it's written in the Good Book that the first one to kiss the welcome mouse each day will receive blessings that will run on from there
ReplyDeleteNELL: The beds are not a kingdom issue, and we know that girls are messy anyway. We miss you guys, and we are praying for you guys!
MEGHAN: Hey guys, I miss you and love you all. Hope you guys are having fun with your mounds of silly bands. Praying for you, and don't forget the welcome mouse :) kiss it fur me.
Love you and praying for you-The Fines
PS: I miss you.. and come back soon... with the same amount of people... no you can't leave Josh there... or vote him off the Island :) jk Josh :)
TO EVAN: I miss you so much, son, and so proud of you.
